Dianne Lugo is currently a senior at Beloit College located in Wisconsin. There, Dianne Lugo is a Molecular, Cellular, and Integrative Biology major and journalism minor. While she isn't busy in a lab or lecture, she works as the Editor-in-Chief of the college's century-old newspaper, The Round Table.
Dianne discovered her love for journalism and writing at Beloit College when, on a whim, she took a journalism course. By her second semester, she had joined the paper as a staff writer before becoming their News Editor in the Fall of 2016. By the Fall of 2017, she was appointed Editor-in-Chief. Dianne not only manages the team of editors, reporters, designers, and photographers but she continues to contribute features and news article for the paper.
Dianne remains passionate about science and science journalism. In 2016 she worked as a news intern at Science Magazine, the renown independent news magazine. At Science, she contributed stories for their online news website. In addition to science writing, Dianne loves learning and writing about hockey and video games. She hopes to continue writing about compelling stories that get others interested and excited about various topics.
